Installation

Kemeco solar post lights are designed to make outdoor lighting easier to set up, especially for posts, pillars, driveways, garden paths, and home entrances.

How Easy Is Setup?

For many outdoor spaces, setup is much simpler than hardwired lighting because Kemeco solar post lights do not require traditional electrical wiring for normal solar operation.

Basic Setup Steps

  1. Choose a sunny outdoor location.
  2. Confirm whether the light will be installed on a pillar, pier, post, or compatible 3-inch round pole.
  3. Secure the mount or adapter according to the product instructions.
  4. Attach the light fixture.
  5. Let the solar panel charge in sunlight before judging nighttime performance.
  6. Turn the light on and allow the dusk-to-dawn sensor to handle daily use.

Best Placement Tips

Solar lighting works best where the panel receives direct sunlight during the day. Avoid deep shade, heavy tree cover, roof overhangs, or walls that block sunlight for long periods.

Pillar Mount or Pole Mount?

A pillar mount setup works well on flat surfaces such as masonry columns, entrance pillars, deck posts, and wall caps. A pole mount setup is useful when you already have a compatible 3-inch round pole or want a traditional lamp post look.
